Petralona Cave & the Town of Nea Moudania

Duration: Half Day

Trip Description

Petralona Cave, reopened after renovation in 2024, is one of Greece's most fascinating prehistoric sites. Located 300 meters above sea level on the western slope of Mount Katsika, it became world-famous for the discovery of an ancient human skull — a significant link to early human history. A visit to the cave offers a unique journey into the distant past, surrounded by stunning natural formations.

Additionally, you will visit the colorful town of Nea Moudania, where you can explore the culture of native citizens and visit the local market.
